| The Walk for Music is a very different kind of Walk. The route is short -- 2 miles -- to allow children and seniors (and everyone in between) to participate. The goal is to celebrate music making, not walk a long distance, so individuals who prefer not to walk are also encouraged to participate. The route follows the perimeter of the beautiful Back Bay Fens, Boston’s “Emerald Necklace” park in the heart of the Fenway Cultural District and home to Boston’s major cultural institutions. 1. Registration is at the basketball courts in the Back Bay Fens, opposite the intersection of Park Drive and Jersey Street (see map below)
2. Proceed counter-clockwise along Park Drive
3. Loop back without crossing Brookline Ave, on the Fenway
4. Loop back at Boylston St to Park Drive
5. Return to registration for the Music Rally
PLEASE take the T (Green Line, ‘E’ train) to the Museum of Fine Arts stop. Volunteers will meet you at the T and direct you to the Walk for Music registration. A larger map is found at www.fenwayculture.org/map.htm, and it will show you all of the nearby MBTA stops |
